Joanna Strong

Joanna grew up in Newfoundland and studied painting at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, then completed an MFA in painting at the University of Waterloo. Her work has appeared in over 60 exhibitions since then, including recent solo exhibitions at Campbell Mouse Museum and Hang Man Gallery, as well as numerous juried exhibitions, such as The Artist Project, the Queen West Art Crawl, and Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition. She is a three-time recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Award, and has received two grants from the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council. Joanna now lives with her husband and two children in the Riverdale neighbourhood of Toronto.
